A few weeks ago Google launched their new Google Partners program and notified us as one of the first companies in New Zealand to meet the updated criteria.
Whilst some of the conditions for being a Google Partner revolve around selling more ads (and if you can make Google lots and lots of money you can be called a Premier Partner); there are still some factors that relate to performance and quality of work.
For every ads client campaign, Google constantly recommends improvements as part of an Optimisation score, and you need to maintain an average of 70% to become a Google Partner. Some of the recommendations relate to spending more money or automating everything, and you can choose to discard these, and others are genuinely helpful suggestions driven by data.
On top of the optimisation score and client spend, is the requirement for ongoing learning and upskilling. This is probably the most valuable and credible part of the Google Partner program. Each year we have to pass online exams which mix theory and best practice with using the Google ads tools which are updated and added-to fairly frequently.
We love running Google Ads campaigns for clients because they are transparent and measurable and for nine out of ten clients make a real difference to their business growth and sales. We’re glad to meet the criteria as a Google Partner and will continue working to keep that status and more importantly to get real results for clients.
