Search Engine Marketing
Search Engine MarketingSearch engine marketing (SEM) focuses on getting more of your target audience to your site, and getting it ranked above your competitors. With increasing online competition and Google becoming more cautious, a thorough search engine marketing strategy utilising current best practice is essential. For most industries and markets, if your website is not optimised for the search engines then it simply won't get found by online searchers. Below are the key components of our search engine marketing service: Keyword Analysis After developing a list of potential search phrases we refine these with you. They are then analysed to assess how effective each one is. The goal is to identify phrases with maximum search popularity but a minimum level of competition. Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Agreed keyword phrases are utilised in the copy of the site. The hidden HTML code is also optimised to make it as "search engine friendly" as possible. A technique like the use of ‘Flash' for making your site more attractive may in fact harm its Search Engine rankings. We also modify other technical areas to help the Search Engines properly index your site. Submission We register sites manually with top global Search Engines and Directories who account for over 90% of Search Engine usage worldwide. Companies that offer software to automatically list you with ‘thousands' of search engines should be avoided. A top 30 ranking on any of the major Search Engines will generate as many visitors as all the others put together. We will also identify and submit to any free submission industry related portals that we think are relevant to your website. Reciprocal Links Campaign Having other quality websites linking to yours is essential. Search Engines such as Google now use site popularity (as measured by inwards links) as one of the key criteria for accepting a site for indexing into their database. The easiest way to attain inward links is to ‘swap links' with other complimentary web sites, known as Reciprocal Linking. We carefully research and find potential sites to swap links with while avoiding sites and practices that could harm your performance. You can then remove inappropriate links (e.g. direct competitors), and add others since you know your industry best. From there we prepare the code and manage the process of approaching and building links over a period of time to boost your weighting with Search Engines. Reporting We provide monthly reports to show how your website is performing in the Search Engine rankings. This helps you plan and shows the results of our work. We can even report on your competitors if needed. Pay Per Click Campaigns (sponsored links) While 'organic' rankings are still considered best, PPC can be effective. Google Adwords and Yahoo! are the most popular offering paid advertising where each time a user clicks your link you are invoiced a set price for it. We often include PPC in a Search Engine Marketing campaign when:
Our head of PPC, Karyn, was the first person in New Zealand to be accredited a 'Google Adwords Professional'. PRICING: We always provide a fixed-price quote up-front so there are no surprises. Prices are based on the size and complexity of the client website. Note: We adhere to a strict code of conduct. We will not knowingly do anything that may harm the site's chances of being accepted for inclusion in any directories. We do not use practices such as using third party submission software or link farming. For more detailed information, to discuss your needs or obtain an obligation-free quote, please Contact Us. |
