Roy Bowers: Client Services Manager, Website Usability Specialist Roy works directly with all clients. He has had a number of web-related roles including previously being responsible for the 1,000% growth of New Zealand's largest eBusiness portal: MarketNewZealand.com between 2001 and 2003 (the site has since been changed again). This role involved educating businesses of all sizes about the potential of the internet, and sparked a passion for website marketing and usability. Prior to this, Roy was based in New York helping New Zealand exporters target the US, and in London as a business analyst for Diageo Plc, the company that owns such brands as Guinness, Smirnoff and Johnnie Walker. Roy has a first class honours degree in Marketing and International Management. Out of work Roy can be found hunting that elusive trophy trout or planning his next curry.
Karyn Ogier, Search Engine Marketing Specialist Karyn is responsible for the establishment of all search engine marketing campaigns. Having optimised nearly 500 websites, and being one of the first specialists in New Zealand to achieve Google Adwords 'Professional' status, Karyn is a true search engine expert. Over ten year's in New Zealand and England optimising and promoting web sites has brought Karyn a wealth of experience from working on hundreds of sites. She is a member of many global search engine forums and ensures that all our clients are up with the latest rule and algorithm changes when the search engines make them. Karyn has completed a number of papers from the New Zealand Institute of Management (NZIM). Karyn's free time is spent with her husband and two lovely daughters enjoying New Zealand's wonderful outdoors.
David Law, Search Engine Marketing Technical Specialist Dave manages any technical aspects of optimisation and search engine marketing, often working closely with the IT or design teams of our larger clients. He has a background in IT, working in New Zealand and the UK, and began optimising websites in 1998. Since then he has worked on over 400 websites that have been successfully optimised, submitted and marketed over the internet. He has a Bachelors degree from Auckland University and a post Graduate Diploma in Operations Management. Outside of work David loves spending time working on his lifestyle block whenever his wife and two pre-schooler's will let him.
Jessica Murray, Search Engine Optimisation Specialist Jess is responsible for the key components of search engine optimisation from keyword analysis to establishing reciprocal links. Her attention to detail and enthusiasm are appreciated by all clients. Prior to this role Jess worked for a web design company. She brings a wealth of web design experience to ensure we compliment and coordinate with the work of our clients' own designers. Jess has a Bachelor of Business Studies majoring in Marketing. Away from work Jess can be found at the beach or relaxing at her local cafe.
Sonya Cole, Search Engine Marketer Experience in a number of business administration roles makes Sonya an essential element to the smooth running of our ongoing Search Engine Marketing campaigns. Her organisational skills assist in ensuring that our database is kept current as the first step to ensuring we maintain a robust and quality service to all our clients. Sonya balances a demanding schedule between work, her busy toddler and trying to renovate a house in the little free time available.
Lizette Smith, Search Engine Marketer Having recently moved up from Christchurch, Lizette is coming to terms with the strange accents and the fact that not everyone supports the Canterbury Crusaders. Having started her career in banking, Lizette felt a change to an Internet related role would be a challenging move and open up new horizons both in skills and flexibility. Lizette's main role is working with Sonya on the ongoing link popularity campaigns for clients. As a proud new home-owner, you will generally find Lizette pottering (until the novelty wear's off) and then she'll be on the back of the motorbike on a daytrip or longer.
Nigel Wells, ITC Manager Nigel is our IT guru. With skills in most programming languages he can basically make anything we ask him to, and if we are not careful he may actually end up working for Google. Nigel completed his Bachelor of Applied Information Systems in 2004, and has dedicated his life to making our lives easier and surprising ourselves and clients with what is possible on the internet. When we actually let him go home, Nigel can be found helping out at the local youth group, or taking Ceroc dance lessons.
Erin O'Callaghan, Web Writing and Usability Specialist Erin is responsible for developing web pages for clients, and completing usability assessments. She has a writing and analytical background and is an accomplished web-researcher. In New Zealand Erin has authored simplified health publications for national use, and written policy for local government. These roles have helped refine her web-writing skills. In the UK, Erin was on a team that developed a trans-European planning website for Shell Oil. Erin has a Social Science degree with first class honours. All of Erin's free time is focused on her three very cheeky daughters.
Peter Chapman, Technical Analyst With an Information Technology Degree from Massey University behind him, Peter is our 'young-gun' hired to keep abreast of the latest technical developments in the online world. Peter works with Google Site Maps and on all aspects of SEM requiring programming input. When Pete is not in front of a monitor at work, he can be found in front of a monitor at home playing online games, watching 80's movies or listening to gangsta rap music.
